Dr. Hays and staff made a sad situation a blessing. I had to make a difficult decision to put my dog to sleep and from when they met us at the door the compassion and care they gave myself and my Nyya was more then I can ask for. They never rushed me to make decisions and for that I thank them.

PETS Emergency Hospital made a horrific week slightly less horrible with their care and compassion. I had to bring my border collie Bodie in for an intestinal blockage. They were very kind and straight forward about pricing. Regardless of how long waits can be here they communicate the wait time clearly and check on you often. I was there for 7 hours, from 8 pm to 3 am, and was quoted a price for surgery I couldn't afford. I was very emotional and I was treated with respect and compassion. The vet/nurse I spoke to was honest and clear about what my options moving forward looked like. They provided low cost vets and I was able to get Bodie in for surgery at 11 am at Guardian Angel near Denver. 2 days later, Bodie got into a toy and ate its head and I had to bring him to PETS to induce vomiting. We were there for a while and everyone was very kind. Bodie was able to puke it up and go home. Then, on Labor Day, Bodie badly needed a sanitary trim, I had to quarantine him in a kennel at home due to how gross his butt was lol. My vet was closed, the groomers couldn't help since he had just had surgery, and PETS pulled through and got me in for a sanitary trim that wasnt as life saving as what they normally do but was very sanity saving. Since his surgery they have called and checked in numerous times, provided me medication for his diarrhea, and helped me with upping his dosage on his meds. Overall amazing experience as someone who had never been here before, especially since Bodie isn't their official patient and they weren't even the ones who did the official surgery. Will always come here first in an emergency
